The Role of the Archivist (ALF 381 Behind the Steel Door)
Most of what we know of history comes from the fact that events were documented. But who documents them, and why? How do those documents end up in an archive, and how can we trust them? And what does an archivist do all day?

Christopher Hilton, Head of Archive and Library at the Red House, Aldeburgh, will take a journey through spider-filled basements to answer some of these questions.
The meeting is currently planned to be on Zoom only but may include a hybrid pilot with a small group in the Library observing distancing rules and with the majority on Zoom.
