“The future of the Aldeburgh Lifeboat: What does the future hold?

RNLI Headquarters have announced that Aldeburgh Lifeboat Station will be getting a Shannon-class to replace the Freddie Cooper by 2021.Charles who is the lifeboat operations manager (the boss!) will explore what this will mean for Aldeburgh and the wider community. Will we need a new lifeboat station? What will happen to the existing one? Who owns the beach?

Aldeburgh Society’s event of the year. Join us for drinks and canapes at the Red House thanks to the Britten-Pears Foundation. 6-8pm. Tours of the house will be on offer and access to the museum will be available.
Do please bring along friends to any of our events. Non-members can purchase tickets to lectures on the door, with temporary membership for the evening.
